The Lamborghni Essenza SCV12 is a track-only hypercar containing the most powerful V12 naturally aspirated engine from Lamborghini to date. Producing over 830 hp and limited to a run of just 40 units, each car will be specially developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse and designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile.
The direct descendent of cars such as the Miura Jota and Diablo GTR, each vehicle has been specifically developed for track-only use and holds a 6.5-litre V12 featuring unique exhaust pipes that help reduce back pressure, along with push-rod rear suspension bolted directly onto the gearbox.
Unveiled in 2020, the Essenza SCV12 features an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 kg/hp thanks to a new-generation carbon fibre monocoque chassis, which has been strengthened to meet the standards of the FIA’s hypercar race class without using a separate roll cage. The Essenza SCV12 is the first GT car developed to respect FIA prototype safety rules.
The aerodynamics benefit from Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s GT racing experience to ensure a higher level of efficiency and higher downforce levels than a GT3 car. The front hood of the car features a splitter and two lateral elements, alongside vertical fins on the side sills to cool the engine and gearbox. For the icing on the cake, the package is completed by a large adjustable double-profile rear wing.
Inside, the car comes complete with a multifunction steering wheel with display, inspired by F1 single-seater steering wheels, to offer the best ergonomics and a perfect feel for drivers behind the wheel. In addition, a specific FIA homologated OMP seat with carbon shell embraces the driver to ensure comfort, safety, and stability.
Owners of the Essenza SCV12 will become part of an exclusive club giving them access to special programs to drive their hypercar on the world’s most prestigious circuits. Included in their purchase is storage for the vehicle in a new purpose-built hangar in Sant’Agata Bolognese, for the Essenza SCV12 club. Each vehicle will have its own personalised garage and dedicated services, including webcams, for customers to monitor their cars 24/7 using an app.
At any track day the owner chooses to attend, a Squadra Corse technical support team are on hand to ensure your car is track-ready. Alongside them are five-time Le Mans winner, Emanuele Pirro, and Lamborghini Squadra Corse Factory Driver, Marco Mapelli, who can provide expert tutoring throughout the driving experience.
