In a year of cancelled holidays and aborted trips overseas, customers from three H.R. Owen-operated Lamborghini showrooms headed off for the ultimate staycation roadtrip, taking in some of Wales’ finest routes in cars perfectly designed to tackle them.
Drivers joined their raging bull on tours hosted by Lamborghini Pangbourne, Lamborghini Manchester and Lamborghini London in a series of weekend-long events in September, each organised in line with the latest government advice on social distancing and COVID-19 compliance.
Up to twelve cars joined each hosting of the Welsh road trip; organised to depart from each dealership location, creating a mini convoy of verified performance car icons in the process; Aventador, Huracán, Urus. To ensure each of the cars was in perfect order before departing, the showrooms offered a complimentary pre-tour vehicle health check to all attendees.
Over three days and more than 700 miles, these Lamborghinis would be tested in their natural habitat; twisting tarmac that would take in the rolling hills and chocolate box villages of the Cotswolds, the splendour of Snowdonia and the outright thrills of the Evo Triangle.
Always with a dramatic soundtrack of howling engines and a steady flow of smiles and thumbs-ups from passers-by, the guests were able to fully explore the sublime innovations of Sant’Agata that have created some of the finest handling cars on the road today. And with five-star accommodation, pre-programmed routes and even a professional photographer arranged by the showrooms, the only thing guests needed to concentrate on was enjoying the drive.
H.R. Owen Lamborghini showroom staff joined the convoys with a little firepower of their own, showcasing the Urus SSUV and Huracán Evo models to the guests.
