Since its founding in 1932, H.R. Owen has cultured a reputation for its customer service, led by a dedicated team of passionate employees forever striving to be the best. This week, we recognised the talents of the H.R. Owen team with the new annual event, the H.R. Owen Employee Recognition Awards.
Nearly 80 employees attended the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London showroom in Mayfair for a late afternoon of drinks, canapés and a list of honors recognising the achievements of the team. Without their dedication, the achievements of the broader H.R. Owen business simply would not be possible.
Many among the H.R. Owen employees have made a huge commitment to their work, with an extremely high proportion of employees hitting major milestones from 10 years with the company, right up to 40 years’ service; each being recognised during the event. Across the employees invited to the event, we had a total of 1435 years of service; a hugely experienced team dedicated to perfection.
The finest example of the dedication to H.R. Owen is Jay Bhatia, an employee for 48 years. Jay started at Jack Barclay in York Road in 1972, even before our current CEO was even born. Jay retired during a period of COVID, so we were pleased to formally acknowledge his incredible tenure with Jack Barclay Bentley on the night.
To top off the night, we announced the winner of our Employee of the Year Award, selected from a talented list of Employee of the Month winners during the past year. Recognising those that have achieved outstanding results, questioned the status quo or evolved their role with new ideas. Congratulations to Nick Pettit from Maserati Service and Bonita Hird from Jack Barclay Sales on sharing the win for the H.R. Owen Employee of the Year Award 2022.
To have recognised the commitment and loyalty of our employees on Tuesday, especially given the restraints we have all had to deal with over the last couple of years, has been such a special time for all.
