Bentley has revealed the all-new fourth-generation Flying Spur, first launching in Speed specification – the fastest and most powerful Bentley four-door ever. Equipped with the innovative ‘Ultra Performance Hybrid’ powertrain, the new Flying Spur has an almost unparalleled breadth of abilities, delivering a total of 782hp and 1,000 Nm of torque but also 47 miles of all-electric range. Described as the world’s first four-door supercar, the Flying Spur Speed accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a blistering 3.3 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds), making it half a second faster than its predecessor.
At the heart of this performance marvel is a 600hp twin-turbo V8 engine, seamlessly paired with a 190hp electric motor. Smooth, quiet, incredibly powerful but also extremely efficient, this new powertrain set-up significantly reduces CO2 emissions to just 33 g/km – 90% lower than the outgoing Flying Spur Speed. On a full charge, this ultimate Grand Touring sedan offers a total range of 515 miles (829 km).
The Bentley Performance Active Chassis comes as standard with the Flying Spur Speed. Features of the sophisticated new setup include Bentley Dynamic Ride and All-Wheel Steering, along with an electronically-controlled Limited Slip Differential. New and advanced twin-valve dampers enable rebound and compression damping to be separately controlled, imbuing the Flying Spur with distinctive personalities between Comfort, Bentley and Sport modes. The body-control of the previous generation’s Sport mode is maintained, while the ride comfort in Comfort mode is significantly improved.
Externally, the new Flying Spur Speed opts for subtle evolution rather than total revolution. A refreshed grille, bumper, and rear diffuser are paired with dark tint brightware and an optional carbon-finished Styling Specification aero package. The new 22” wheels are available in a range of finishes. Inside, the cabin showcases Bentley’s renowned craftsmanship with Precision Diamond quilting on the seats and doors, complemented by advanced wellness features such as Postural Adjust and Auto Climate control on all four seats.
Technology plays a central role, with the introduction of the My Bentley App Studio, which allows drivers to integrate and control popular apps directly through the vehicle’s infotainment system. Enhanced driver assistance systems, including Intelligent Park Assist, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, ensure a seamless driving experience, while the new electrical architecture provides class-leading connectivity and safety features.
